Authenticated privilege escalation via unchecked group updates
Published Feb 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 17, 2025
Missing authorization in Q-Free MAXTIME Suite 2.11.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to add privileges to user groups. The HTTP routes in maxprofile/user-groups/routes.lua accept crafted group-privilege changes without verifying that the requesting account is authorized to make them. Low-privileged access to the management web application is sufficient to escalate the account's own access rights through modified group permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
