Unauthorized user-group creation via missing route authorization
Published Feb 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 17, 2025
Missing authorization in Q-Free MAXTIME Suite 2.11.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to create arbitrary user groups. The maxprofile/user-groups/routes.lua handler processes crafted HTTP requests from low-privileged accounts without checking authorization before creating a group. A valid low-privileged account and network access to the management web application are required; exploitation changes access-control configuration and supports privilege escalation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
