Unauthenticated profile-server activation via unchecked HTTP requests
Published Feb 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 17, 2025
Missing authentication in Q-Free MAXTIME Suite 2.11.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to enable an authentication profile server. The maxprofile/setup/routes.lua handler accepts crafted HTTP requests without authenticating the caller before enabling that server. Reachability to the management web application is sufficient to alter authentication configuration and potentially bypass access controls.
