Unauthenticated file inclusion via unchecked loader path
Published Apr 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in InstaWP Connect 0.1.0.85 and earlier allows remote attackers to include local files through a crafted request. The database-manager loader uses the instawp-database-manager parameter in a PHP inclusion operation without restricting the resolved path. No authentication is required; PHP code execution requires an attacker-controlled PHP file already on the server because the plugin supplies no upload path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
