CVE-2025-26336Network attack vector

Remote code execution via stack buffer overflow

Published Mar 21, 2025 · Updated Mar 21, 2025

Stack overflow in Dell CMC for FX2 before 2.40.200.202101130302 and VRTX before 3.41.200.202209300499 allows remote attackers to execute code. Dell has not disclosed the affected proprietary-code function, request field, or the unsafe copy operation that overruns the stack buffer. Exploitation requires remote network access and user interaction; success grants code execution in the controller context and can disclose data, alter data, and interrupt CMC availability.
