CVE-2025-26308Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Service interruption via unreleased filter-list allocation

Published Feb 20, 2025 · Updated Feb 24, 2025

Memory leak in libming 0.4.8 allows attackers to interrupt applications that parse a crafted SWF file containing a filter list. The parseSWF_FILTERLIST function in util/parser.c allocates list->Filter according to the file's filter count, and parseSWF_PLACEOBJECT3 never releases that allocation. An application must parse the supplied file; repeated processing consumes memory, while the public report does not identify whether exhaustion causes a hang or crash.
