Arbitrary file read in Buffalo LS520D 4.53 allows remote attackers to read internal NAS files through its web interface. The /rpc/cat handler in webaxs_rpc.pyc accepts inter=1, joins the supplied path directly under the filesystem root, and bypasses _virpath2path validation. No authentication or user interaction is required, and exposed files include /etc/shadow and web-interface password hashes.
