Stored XSS via unescaped custom image URLs
Published Apr 18, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Login Manager 2.0.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through custom image URLs. The custom logo and background URL settings accept insufficiently sanitized values and render them into the WordPress login page without adequate output escaping. Administrator-level access is required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; injected scripts run when a user opens the affected page.
