CVE-2025-26125Public exploit

SYSTEM escalation via unrestricted arbitrary-delete IOCTL

Published Mar 17, 2025 · Updated Mar 24, 2025

Privilege escalation in IObit Malware Fighter 12.1.0 allows local users to gain SYSTEM privileges through an exposed driver IOCTL. The IMFForceDelete123 device accepts IOCTL 0x8016E000 from unprivileged callers and deletes the input-named file or folder without enforcing access controls. A local low-privileged user must run the exploit, which chains deletion of Config.msi with forged rollback files to make arbitrary system changes as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM.
