Static file disclosure via forced browsing
Published Apr 23, 2025 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Forced browsing in CODESYS Visualization before 4.8.0.0 allows remote attackers to read static WebVisu files without authentication. On a Control Runtime executing an application with WebVisu, CmpWebServer serves directly requested visualization files without applying the configured user-management restriction. Exposure is limited to static text lists, icons, images, and templates; the vendor reports no access to live controlled-system data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
