CVE-2025-25945Public exploit

Resource exhaustion via unreleased parser allocations

Published Feb 19, 2025 · Updated Feb 20, 2025

Memory leaks in Bento4 1.6.0-641 allow attackers to consume mp4fragment process memory by supplying a crafted MP4 file. Fragment and AP4_DescriptorFactory::CreateDescriptorFromStream leave allocated objects unreleased when malformed input triggers error paths. Processing the file is required; the demonstrated consequence is unreleased heap memory and application instability, not a direct data read.
