Browser script execution via reflected reportType
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Mar 12, 2025
Reflected XSS in OpenMRS 2.4.3 Build 0ff0ed allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted reportType value. The /openmrs/moduleServlet/legacyui/quickReportServlet endpoint reflects the reportType parameter into its response without neutralizing script markup. A user with View Quick Reports access must open the crafted request; successful exploitation runs code in that user's browser context, enabling page-data access or actions with that session.
