CVE-2025-25900Network attack vector

Authenticated router crash via oversized credentials

Published Feb 13, 2025 · Updated Mar 13, 2025

Buffer overflow in TP-Link TL-WR841ND V11 firmware allows remote authenticated users to crash the router through a crafted request. The /userRpm/PPPoEv6CfgRpm.htm handler copies oversized username or password values without validating their length, overwriting memory. Access to the authenticated management interface with high privileges is required; the documented consequence is a service-interrupting crash.
