Authenticated SQL injection via unparameterized message ID
Published Feb 21, 2025 · Updated Feb 21, 2025
SQL injection in ITSourcecode Simple ChatBox 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data through del.php. The chatbox/ajax/del.php handler inserts the id query parameter directly into a DELETE statement passed to mysqli_query without validation or parameterization. An administrator session is required; the public time-delay request demonstrates query control, while the published record limits impact to confidentiality and integrity effects.
