Stored XSS via unsanitized SVG uploads
Published Apr 25, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Bit Apps Bit Form 2.18.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through uploaded SVG files. The file-upload path accepts SVG content without sufficient sanitization, then serves the stored file without escaping embedded script markup. Author-level WordPress access is required; the script runs in the vulnerable site's origin whenever another user opens the uploaded SVG file.
