Remote code execution via crafted ZIP upload
Published Feb 26, 2025 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in FoxCMS 1.2.5 allows remote attackers to execute code by sending a crafted ZIP file to LocalTemplate.php. LocalTemplate.php accepts an attacker-supplied archive without blocking dangerous file content, leaving that content executable by the server. Network access alone is sufficient; no authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-chosen code in the FoxCMS server context.
