Unauthenticated profile disclosure via user-controlled identifier
Published Apr 24, 2025 · Updated Apr 25, 2025
Insecure direct object reference in Codeastro Bus Ticket Booking System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read other users' profiles. The /BusTicket-CI/profile/profilesaya/{ID} route accepts a caller-controlled profile identifier and returns the matching record without authentication or an ownership check. A valid, predictable profile ID is sufficient to expose another user's profile through the web application; the published report demonstrates IDs such as CA0001 and CA0016.
