Weak-password acceptance via missing strength checks
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Mar 24, 2025
Weak password requirements in HotelDruid 3.0.7 and earlier allow remote authenticated users to set easily guessed account passwords. User creation, password-change, and administrative account-management flows accept short, common, reused, and rapidly changed passwords without length, complexity, history, or minimum-age checks. An authenticated account is required to set such a password; subsequent compromise depends on an attacker successfully guessing or reusing it.
