Physical data access via BP Tools ADB bypass
Published Feb 27, 2025 · Updated Feb 28, 2025
Improper access control in Motorola Mobility Droid Razr HD XT926 9.18.94.XT926.Verizon.en.US allows physically proximate attackers to access ADB. Booting the phone through its BP Tools recovery option enables USB debugging and accepts an attached ADB host despite disabled Developer Options and the lock screen. Physical access and a MicroUSB connection are required; the resulting shell bypasses the screen lock and exposes device data.
