CVE-2025-25728Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Update data disclosure via plaintext API requests

Published Feb 27, 2025 · Updated Mar 19, 2025

Cleartext transmission in Bosscomm IF740 firmware 11001.7078 and 11001.0000 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read update data. The WiFi Update function sends the device serial number and download token to the update API in unencrypted POST data and URI parameters. An attacker must control or observe the network path while a user starts a WiFi update; the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of those identifiers and tokens.
