CVE-2025-25668Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via unchecked strcpy

Published Feb 20, 2025 · Updated Feb 21, 2025

Stack overflow in Tenda AC8 V4 firmware 16.03.34.06 allows remote attackers to crash the router or execute arbitrary code. The linked report traces user-controlled deviceList data from formSetMacFilterCfg into two strcpy calls in sub_47D878 without length checks, while the CNA description instead names shareSpeed. An HTTP POST to the router's management endpoint reaches the flaw without authentication material, and successful exploitation interrupts service or runs code on the appliance.
