Unauthenticated code execution via unbounded urls copy
Published Feb 20, 2025 · Updated Feb 21, 2025
Stack overflow in Tenda AC8 V4 firmware 16.03.34.06 allows remote attackers to crash the router or execute arbitrary code via an HTTP request. The get_parentControl_list_Info function passes the user-controlled urls parameter to strcpy without checking its length, overflowing a stack buffer. The request reaches /goform/saveParentControlInfo without authentication; a crafted value can interrupt routing service or compromise the device.
