Unauthenticated device crash via oversized filter fields
Published Feb 20, 2025 · Updated Feb 21, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda O4 V3.0 firmware 1.0.0.10(2936) allows remote attackers to crash the device via an HTTP request. SafeSetMacFilter handles a POST to /goform/setMacFilterList and copies an oversized remark, type, or time value onto the stack without enforcing a safe length. The endpoint is reachable without authentication; the published proof of concept uses a 5,000-byte time value but does not demonstrate code execution.
