Archived-channel member disclosure via unenforced access setting
Published Apr 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Incorrect authorization in affected Mattermost releases allows remote authenticated users to read archived-channel membership data. The archived-channel member listing path returns member identities and profile information without enforcing the disabled “Allow users to view/update archived channels” setting. Any authenticated account can reach the disclosure in 9.11.0 through 9.11.9, 10.4.0 through 10.4.3, or 10.5.0 through 10.5.1 when that setting is disabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=10.4.0 <=10.4.3
- Affected versionversion=10.5.0 <=10.5.1
