Stored XSS via unsanitized Custom HTML field
Published May 19, 2025 · Updated Jan 9, 2026
Stored XSS in Ninja Forms before 3.10.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted Custom HTML field. The form builder stores Custom HTML markup without sufficient sanitization or output escaping, then renders it in embedded forms and the administrative editor. Administrator access is required, and execution occurs when a visitor opens the embedded form or another administrator opens its HTML block.
