Authenticated code execution via external entity resolution
Published Mar 18, 2025 · Updated Mar 21, 2025
XXE in XMLParse.java in yimioa before 2024.07.04 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via crafted XML. The extract function parses attacker-controlled XML without disabling external entity resolution, allowing entity declarations to reach external resources. Network access and low-privilege authentication are required; successful exploitation runs code in the server process context.
