Unauthenticated account takeover via tokenless password reset
Published Mar 26, 2025 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
Broken access control in SCRIPT CASE 1.0.002 Build7 allows remote attackers to take over administrator accounts via a crafted request. The production-environment login endpoint accepts an unauthenticated change_pass action without validating a recovery token or request authenticity. Changing the HTTP response from 302 to 200 exposes the reset form, after which any account password can be replaced and used to enter the administration panel.
