Unauthenticated memory corruption via crafted callback
Published Feb 21, 2025 · Updated Feb 21, 2025
Buffer overflow in Tenda AC6 15.03.05.16_multi allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via a crafted callback parameter. The getRebootStatus HTTP handler processes the callback parameter in sub_452A4 without enforcing a safe length, causing an out-of-bounds write. Network access is sufficient and no authentication or user interaction is required; public evidence demonstrates memory corruption but does not establish a crash or code execution.
