Unauthenticated password changes via unprotected form handler
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Improper access control in D-Link DIR-618 and DIR-605L 2.02 and 3.02 allows remote attackers to change router credentials on the local network. The /goform/formSetPassword handler processes a password-change request without enforcing the authorization required to modify administrator credentials. An unauthenticated attacker must reach the management interface from an adjacent network and can alter access to the device; no confidentiality or availability impact is established.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
