Stored XSS via unsanitized blog entry TextArea
Published Feb 24, 2025 · Updated Feb 24, 2025
Stored XSS in FlatPress 1.3.1 Add Entry allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in viewers' browsers via blog posts. The entry form accepts a script payload in its TextArea field without proper input sanitization, stores it in a post, and renders it when the post loads. An administrator must submit the entry, and another user must view the affected post; the documented consequence is client-side script execution.
