Unauthenticated service crash via cloneType2 overflow
Published Apr 17, 2025 · Updated Apr 18, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC10 firmware 16.03.10.20 allows remote attackers to crash the web service via a crafted HTTP request. The AdvSetMacMtuWan handler passes the cloneType2 form value to strcpy without a length check, overflowing a stack buffer. The path requires wans.flag to exceed zero; the published proof of concept demonstrates a segmentation fault, while arbitrary command execution is claimed but not demonstrated.
