2FA bypass via trusted browser storage flag
Published Mar 6, 2025 · Updated Mar 7, 2025
Improper authentication in TAAGSOLUTIONS GmbH MyTaag 2024-11-24 and earlier allows physically proximate attackers to bypass 2FA. The web client treats a browser-controlled 2fa_authorized Local Storage value of 1 as proof that the second factor was verified. An attacker must possess the victim's email address and password; changing the flag grants account access without the verification code.
