CVE-2025-25427Public exploit

Admin password theft via unsafe innerHTML rendering

Published Apr 18, 2025 · Updated Jul 1, 2025

Stored XSS in the TP-Link TL-WR841N UPnP page through Build 241230 Rel. 50788n allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript. The doUpdate function inserts each untrusted portMappingDescription into a table cell with innerHTML, so stored markup executes when upnp.htm loads. Network proximity is required, and a page visit triggers code in the administrator's browser context, enabling theft of the admin password.
