Unauthenticated code execution via GOT overwrite
Published Mar 25, 2025 · Updated Mar 26, 2025
Remote code execution in NASA cFS Aquila allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through Memory Manager telecommands. The default PSP memory table accepts the entire address space, letting MM_DUMP_IN_EVENT leak addresses and MM_FILL_MEM overwrite a GOT entry. The chain requires unauthenticated network access and a writable GOT to replace memchr with system and execute attacker-supplied shell input.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
