Cross-site scripting in Vega before 5.26.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted visualization specification. The vlSelectionTuples function invokes an attacker-supplied fields[].getter with attacker-controlled datum data, permitting Function() construction and invocation through valueOf or toString coercion. Exposure requires an application to process untrusted Vega specifications; successful exploitation runs script in the application's browser origin.
