Cross-origin API access via credentialed wildcard CORS
Published Mar 3, 2025 · Updated Mar 3, 2025
Origin validation error in Daniel Gatis rembg 2.0.57 and earlier allows remote attackers to access its HTTP APIs cross-origin. The server startup code configures CORSMiddleware with wildcard origins, methods, and headers while enabling credentials, so untrusted origins receive access. The HTTP server must be reachable from a browser loading attacker-controlled content; exposed API requests and responses, including credentialed sessions, become callable cross-origin.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
