CVE-2025-25277

Local code execution via incompatible runtime type

Published Mar 16, 2026 · Updated Mar 16, 2026

Type confusion in OpenHarmony 5.0.3 through 5.1.0.x allows local users to execute arbitrary code in pre-installed apps. The arkcompiler_ets_runtime repository accesses a resource using an incompatible type, but OpenHarmony has not disclosed the affected function or input path. Exploitation requires low local privileges, high-complexity restricted conditions, and no user interaction; the vendor reports confidentiality and integrity impact without availability impact.
