Firewall-rule bypass in Phoenix Contact CHARX SEC-3xxx firmware before 1.7.3 allows remote attackers to reach protected interfaces. The firewall configuration filters outbound traffic by source port, allowing crafted traffic to cross an interface boundary that the rules should enforce. No authentication is required, but root code execution requires network adjacency, a specific configuration, and chaining with another vulnerability.
