Arbitrary file deletion via unrestricted deletion functionality
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
Improper access control in Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation before 2302.0021 or 2404.0010 allows local users to delete arbitrary files. The application exposes file-deletion functionality to simulation models without enforcing the intended filesystem access restriction. Local access is required; successful exploitation can remove system files, causing data loss, unauthorized modification, or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
