Account takeover via unchecked profile email changes
Published Apr 8, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authorization bypass in Iqonic Design Streamit 4.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to take over WordPress accounts. The st_Authentication_Controller::edit_profile function updates an arbitrary user's email address without validating that the requester owns that profile. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; changing an administrator's email enables a password reset and control of that administrator account.
