Unauthenticated command execution via unsafe archive parameters
Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Aug 18, 2026
OS command injection in Fortinet FortiSIEM allows remote attackers to execute commands through crafted CLI requests to phMonitor. The handleStorageArchiveRequest routine applies quote-only escaping to attacker-controlled NFS server and archive-directory XML values before building and executing a shell command. Network access to the TLS-wrapped phMonitor service on TCP port 7900 and a Supervisor or Worker node is sufficient; Collector nodes do not reach the vulnerable path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
