Authenticated PHP execution via archive extraction race
Published Jul 24, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Race condition in AVideo 14.4 and dev commit 8a8954ff allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP via crafted uploads. The aVideoEncoder.json.php upload path extracts a ZIP into a web-accessible directory before cleanDirectory removes disallowed files, creating a request race. Video-upload permission is required, and code execution also depends on a chained .phar bypass of the videos/.htaccess PHP restriction.
