Unauthorized login via brute-forceable password policy
Published Mar 31, 2025 · Updated Mar 31, 2025
Weak password requirements in CHOCO TEI WATCHER mini all versions allow remote attackers to brute-force credentials and log in. The password-protected CHOCO TEI VIEWER web interface accepts passwords under requirements too weak to resist online guessing; the exact missing constraints are undisclosed. Network reachability to the device is sufficient, with no prior authentication or user interaction, and successful guessing grants access to live video, recordings, and device settings.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
