Reflected XSS via unescaped jobid response
Published Feb 10, 2025 · Updated Feb 11, 2025
Reflected XSS in ZOO-Project before commit 7a5ae1a allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted publish.py URL. The publish.py CGI script writes the jobid query value into an HTML response without escaping HTML metacharacters. Exploitation requires a victim to open the attacker-supplied URL, after which the script runs in that victim's browser context and can access the WPS session.
