Excessive memory allocation in IBM Db2 11.5.0 through 11.5.9 and 12.1.0 through 12.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to crash the server. IBM has not disclosed which query-processing component accepts the excessive size value or how a crafted query reaches the allocation. Network access and low-privileged database credentials are required; successful exploitation interrupts the database service.
