Subscriber-level arbitrary file download via path traversal
Published Feb 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Path traversal in Plugin A/B Image Optimizer 3.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to download arbitrary website files. The available advisory and public proof of concept do not identify the vulnerable PHP file, function, request route, or path parameter. Subscriber-level access is reported as sufficient, and successful exploitation exposes files readable by the WordPress process without reported write or service-interruption effects.
