Settings changes via missing nonce validation
Published Feb 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in ibasit GlobalQuran 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to change plugin settings via forged requests. The settings-update handler accepts a request without valid nonce verification and applies attacker-supplied configuration changes in the administrator's session. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to visit an attacker-controlled link or page; the documented consequence is limited to plugin-settings modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
