Stored script execution via unsanitized text parameter
Published Mar 25, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Bitto Kazi Frndzk Expandable Bottom Bar 1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via text. The plugin accepts the text parameter without sufficient input sanitization and later renders it without output escaping, persisting attacker-supplied JavaScript in pages. Exploitation requires administrator-level access and is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; visiting an injected page executes the script in the viewer's browser.
