CVE-2025-25032Network attack vector

Authenticated service interruption via unbounded memory allocation

Published Jun 11, 2025 · Updated Aug 24, 2025

Memory exhaustion in IBM Cognos Analytics 11.2.0 through 11.2.4 IF3 and 12.0.0 through 12.0.4 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. The undisclosed request handler permits a crafted request to allocate memory without limits or throttling until resources are exhausted. The attack requires a valid account and network access; IBM reports availability loss only but does not state whether the service hangs or crashes.
