Stored XSS in affected Elastic Kibana releases allows remote authenticated users to execute script via a crafted case-file upload. Elastic has not disclosed the case-file processing locus or the incorrect neutralization operation that permits uploaded content to execute. Exploitation requires permission to upload case files and interaction by another user; executed script can read or modify data accessible in that user's Kibana session.
